New Expensify is developed in the open, and this repository is the entire client application. A single React Native codebase serves the web build, the iOS and Android apps and a hybrid variant, so a contributor works in one place regardless of which platform a change lands on.

Getting set up is short. Node and npm come through nvm, with strict versions pinned in the package manifest and an .nvmrc file so builds stay consistent, watchman is installed alongside them, and an install followed by a platform script starts the app. Any editor or IDE works.
