Using the site
Unvendored is a directory of open source software. Browsing it is free and needs no account. By using the site you agree to these terms; if you do not agree with them, please do not use it.
What the listings are
Listings are informational. We describe projects as we understand them and compute health scores from public repository data, but we do not audit the software, we do not guarantee that a description is current, and we are not affiliated with the projects or the products they are compared against. Product and company names belong to their respective owners and appear here to identify what a project replaces.
Deciding whether a tool fits your case, and reading its own license before you use it, is on you.
Accounts
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the accuracy of what you submit through it. We may suspend an account that is used to spam, scrape, or misrepresent a project. You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time.
Submissions
Anyone can submit a project. Submissions enter a review queue and we decide what gets published, edited or declined. By submitting, you confirm you have the right to share what you send us, and you allow us to publish and edit it on the site. You keep ownership of it.
The site itself
The site is provided as it is, without warranty. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we are not liable for losses arising from the use of the site or of any tool listed on it. Links to third-party sites are not endorsements, and what happens on them is governed by their terms, not ours.
The site runs on a fork of OpenAlternative, released under GPL-3.0.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top moves when they do, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
