solidtime is a time tracking application aimed at freelancers and agencies. It handles the chain that follows a tracked hour, which project it belongs to, which client that project serves and what the hour is worth to whoever is billing it.

Work is organized around organizations, and a single account can hold several of them, each with its own members, roles and permissions. Billable rates are set on organizations, organization members, projects and project members, so the number attached to an entry depends on where the rate was defined.

Every piece of a tracked day gets its own management screen.

  • Time tracking: an interface built for starting, stopping and correcting entries quickly.
  • Projects: created, managed and staffed with project members.
  • Tasks: created and assigned to the project they belong to.
  • Clients: managed and attached to the projects done for them.
  • Import: existing history brought across from Toggl, Clockify or a time entry CSV.

Self-hosting guides live in the documentation alongside a separate repository of worked examples, and a hosted cloud version exists for anyone who would rather not run a server. Contributions follow a vouching process where you open an issue or discussion and agree on an approach before a larger pull request will be considered.
