Vrite
A collaborative content platform for technical teams writing product documentation, developer blogs, and knowledge bases, with an API for delivering to any frontend.
Open Source Alternative to:

Product documentation, technical blogs, and knowledge bases all get created, managed, and deployed inside Vrite, a collaborative space built for the teams who write them. It closes the gap between a writing tool and a content management system, so drafting, reviewing, and delivering a piece happen in one place rather than across three that never quite agree with each other.
This repository holds Andesine, the work in progress rewrite that becomes version two of Vrite. The latest stable version lives on the main branch of the original Vrite repository, and an official usage guide documents the features of both.
The platform is organized around a handful of pieces.
- Management dashboard: content production and delivery are tracked in a Kanban board or a list view.
- Editing surface: a WYSIWYG editor supports Markdown, an integrated code editor, code formatting, and real-time collaboration.
- Semantic search: an AI-powered index organizes and searches the whole content base.
- API and extensions: a versatile API and an extension system customize the experience and deliver content to any frontend.
- Hosting choice: run it yourself or use the managed Vrite Cloud.
The code is available under AGPL-3.0, and Vrite Cloud is there for teams who would rather not operate it. The project suits documentation teams who want an editor that treats code samples as first-class content, and engineering organizations that publish through their own frontend rather than a vendor's.
