Inbox Zero

Inbox Zero is a self-hostable assistant that works the inbox for you. It organizes incoming mail, pre-drafts replies in your own tone and style, manages your calendar and files attachments, with the stated mission of leaving you more time for the work that email keeps interrupting.

Rules are written in plain English rather than filter syntax, so you describe how the assistant should handle a kind of message and it applies that description. You can also talk to it from Slack or Telegram, which means triage does not require opening another tab.

Most of the rest of the product is aimed at mail you never asked for.

• Reply Zero: tracks the messages waiting on you and the ones you are waiting on.
• Bulk unsubscriber: one click unsubscribes from and archives the newsletters you never open.
• Cold email blocker: filters unsolicited outreach out of the inbox automatically.
• Meeting briefs: pulls context from mail and calendar into a briefing before each meeting.
• Smart filing: saves attachments to Google Drive or OneDrive without being asked.

The stack is Next.js, Prisma, Tailwind and Upstash in a Turborepo. Self-hosting goes through a CLI with a one-time setup wizard and a start command, needing Docker and Node 24 or later, and a hosted version exists for people who would rather not run it themselves. Analytics over your own email habits are built in.
