BugPin

BugPin turns a vague report that something looks broken into one a developer can act on. A widget embedded in your web application captures a screenshot, lets the reporter draw on it, and files the result into an admin console where reports are triaged per project. Nobody has to describe in words what they saw.

The widget embeds with a single script tag or an npm package and works with React, Vue, Angular, Svelte or plain JavaScript. Shadow DOM isolation keeps its styles and yours apart, reports are cached locally and synced when the connection returns, and the server is Bun and Hono over SQLite with a React console.

What travels with the screenshot is what a manual report usually loses.

• Automatic metadata: failed network requests, console errors and operating system, browser and device details are collected without asking.
• Annotation tools: pen, shapes, arrows, text and a privacy blur for anything sensitive on screen.
• Diagnostics export: a report's full context exports as Markdown, plain text, JSON or an AI prompt, with section toggles and redactions.
• GitHub integration: reports can be forwarded straight into GitHub Issues.
• Security controls: domain whitelists, configurable rate limiting, HSTS and secure headers.

Installation is one Docker container with a data volume on port 7300, and the default admin password is meant to be changed at first login. Widget and reporter emails are translated into eight languages with automatic detection. Server and console are AGPL-3.0, the widget is MIT, and enterprise features sit under a separate business license.
